home again

It is snowing again. And we are home again. This is Cassidy on the couch yesterday. She is fighting the same thing Lucy has. Started with a fever and has progressed into a cough and lots 'o boogers. So I am once again taking the day off from Zumba to let these little ones heal. Wouldn't be as bad if we didn't wake up to 2 inches of snow, with crazy flakes flying down again.

And what is this you ask? It is not a ceremonial cleaning of the new truck. Andy says this is why you shouldn't own an expensive vehicle when you have kids. Because they PUKE all over. Jack decorated the back seat this weekend. The truck has since made its way to be professionally steam cleaned... and is smelling much better now.

I hope they have gotten all the sicknesses out of their systems now!

Newbie

We recently said good bye to Mean Green (my 1997 Contour). She has been a part of our family since before we were even a family (11 years!). She has some leaks, and duct tape accessories, but runs. When we were in Milwaukee she sat outside and started EVERY time we needed her to. Even if it was -30 windchill and she was covered in a foot of snow. But it was time to move on. Mean Green is just not equipped to haul an ice shack... or many other necessities up here (like 3 kids in the back seat). So Mean Green moved to Miranda's house, (my niece), in exchange for some babysitting. And in moved this little number. Who am I kidding -- this HUGE number. Andy is smitten. I have to admit it is a smokin' truck. I will miss Mean Green, but rumor has it Miranda frequently sits inside her even though she doesn't have her license yet. And even scrapes off her windshield so she doesn't look yucky. So I know she is in good hands.
