Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Rodgers

We are visiting Milwaukee for this week and started out our trip with a stop at the Union Star Cheese Factory before a visit at Great Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Grandma's home smelled of delicious lasagna as we all piled out of the van and into the house.  The kids slurped up their orange juice and dinner and we visited for a while playing with the blocks and old toys that they've had since I was their age.

Then we headed outside to burn off a little energy.  It impresses me to see that Grandpa and Grandma still have a garden that they care for.  We got to bring a pile of cucumbers home with us :).  I also scored a stash of poppy and other flower seeds so I can start a wildflower patch in our new yard. (Before we left our old house, I made sure to gather up a bunch of  Sweet William seeds, which originated in Grandma's garden as well.)

Before we knew it, it was time to head for Milwaukee so we exchanged hugs and good byes until next time :).
